On September 16th at approximately 8:50 A.M., Placentia Fire Life Safety responded to a reported structure fire on the 700 block of Dunn Way in the city of Placentia. When the first unit arrived on scene they reported a large industrial building well involved with fire and quickly upgraded the fire to a second alarm. Fullerton, Anaheim, Orange County Fire Authority and Orange City Fire were added to the incident. An OCFA Haz-mat team was also dispatched. A 41-year-old Anaheim man was booked on suspicion of manufacturing a marijuana honey oil operation in the building. As a result of the extreme hazard, the incident commander ordered firefighters to take a defensive firefighting posture. Due to the flammable chemicals on the premises, firefighters evacuated workers in the Dunn Way Business Park as well as businesses on the 700 block of Orangethorpe Avenue. No injuries were reported and Placentia Incident Command called a knock down of the fire in approximately 30 minutes.
