Apartment Fire in Rochester

Rochester, NY - At approximately 2:20 P.M. on Sunday, July 5th, Rochester firefighters were dispatched to 9 Waverly Place for a reported house fire. First arriving units reported a working fire on the second floor of an occupied multiple dwelling. The fire was quickly extinguished and confined to the apartment of origin. The occupants of the building were alerted by smoke detectors and able to safely evacuate. There were no injuries reported. The Rochester Fire Department’s Fire Investigation Unit was working to determine the cause.
