Hernando, FL - Hernando County Fire Rescue responded to a motor vehicle crash at Weeping Willow Street and Cortez Blvd, where crews arrived to find a multi-patient incident requiring medical care and traffic control.

Two patients were evaluated on scene. One was transported by ground to a local hospital, while a second patient was transported by ground to a trauma center for further treatment.

All westbound lanes of Cortez Blvd remain shut down as crews operate on scene. Motorists should expect significant delays and are advised to seek alternate routes until the roadway is reopened.
