Large Brush Fire in Dunstable

Dunstable, MA - On May 29th, the Dunstable, MA FD responded to a reported brush fire on Fletcher Street. After arriving on scene and seeing how fast the fire was moving with the dry conditions and wind, multiple departments were requested mutual aid to respond. Dunstable, MA Forestry 1, Rescue 1, UTV and Car 1 were some of the first units on scene. Mutual Aid that responded were Hollis, NH Tanker 2, Brookline, NH Utility 1, UTV, and Engine 5, Pepperell, MA Tanker 1 and Forestry 1, Nashua, NH Engine 3 and Forestry 2, Ayer, MA Forestry 1, Tynsborough, MA Tanker 1, Brush 1 and Car 1, Westford, MA Service 2 with OHRV 1 and Car 3, Littleton, MA Forestry 1, Townsend, MA Forestry 2, Squad 1 and the ATV, Groton Service 1 and Service 2, and Massachusetts DCR Bureau of Fire Control District 6 Patrol 6-0, Patrol 6-1 and Patrol 6-8. Trinity Ambulance also provided rehab for the firefighters as it was a hot and humid day to be battling a fire. Dunstable PD was also on scene for traffic control. The Fire was under control after a couple hours.
