WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - Shortly before 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 7th, the Windsor Locks FD was dispatched to Cherry St. for a reported structure fire. On arrival, crews found heavy fire coming from the first floor and front porch of the house. Windsor Locks PD located all residents and pets outside of the structure. One firefighter received an injury when the porch collapsed and was transported to a local hospital, treated and released. The Warehouse Point FD responded as mutual aid to the scene, and Bradley International Airport FD provided the RIT. Windsor FD provided station coverage during the incident.
