Bedroom Fire In 18th Ward

Reading, PA - On the evening of May 5th a call was placed to the Berks County Department of Emergency Services 911 center reporting a bathroom fire. Box 0402 was transmitted for 338 Cameron Street at 9:44 P.M. Engine 5 arrived at 1½ story bungalow with smoke showing. Firefighters deployed a line into the dwelling and located the fire in the second-floor bathroom. Crews from Tower 1 began working the roof and reported fire into the decking. The fire was placed under control at 8:20 P.M. with no injuries reported. The Fire Marshal's Office is investigating. Chief Kemery (Car 3) was in command.
