FITCHBURG, MA - Fitchburg firefighters battled a three-alarm fire on Ashburnham St., May 1st.

Companies had fire showing from the rear of the two-and-a-half story wood-frame and quickly struck a second-alarm. The fire extended up into the attic and command struck a third-alarm.

Companies made an aggressive interior attack to knock down the fire. Multiple mutual aid companies assisted at the scene and covered the city.
