Vacant house fire in Geneva

GENEVA, NY - On Sunday, April 12, at 6:56 p.m., City of Geneva firefighters were dispatched to a house fire at 8 Eagle Street.


Upon arrival, units reported a fully involved vacant two-story home, and a second alarm was struck, bringing White Springs, West Lake Road, Oaks Corners and Border City fire departments to the scene.


The blaze was brought under control in about an hour and there were no injuries.


The cause remains under investigation by Ontario County Emergency Management and Geneva Police.


Also assisting at the scene were Finger Lake Ambulance and NYSEG.
