Orland Fire Supports Academy Training, Covers Blue Hill Fire

ORLAND, ME — April 13th — Engine 511 and staff from the Orland Fire Department participated in practical skill exercises at the Hancock County Fire Academy as part of training operations.


In order to strengthen fundamental fireground abilities and coordination, firefighters trained alongside other cadets through a variety of evolutions. The importance of regional training opportunities in fostering uniformity and departmental collaboration was acknowledged by officials.


Crews returned in time to give station coverage during a working structure fire in Blue Hill after the academy, guaranteeing ongoing fire protection coverage in the region.
