RONKONKOMA, NY - Just before 12:30 P.M. on Thursday afternoon, April 1st, Lakeland firefighters were dispatched to 96 Hawthorne Avenue after a car accidentally rolled over a female, trapping her underneath. Lakeland firefighters used air bags to lift the car off the female, who was pronounced dead at the scene. SCPD 4th squad is investigating the incident, which appears to be accidental at this time. All fire units took up about 30 minutes later.
