Driver Seriously Injured After Hitting Truck in Medford

MEDFORD, NY - On Friday, March 11th at approximately 3:41 P.M., the Medford Fire Department and Medford Ambulance Co. were toned out for a motor vehicle accident in the Target parking lot at 2975 Horseblock Road.

While responding, Medford units were notified by fire-com that CPR was in progress. Firefighters quickly arrived on scene, continued CPR and loaded the patient onto a backboard and into the ambulance. Medford firefighters went to work putting speedy dry down on fluid that leaked on the ground while Medford Ambulance transported the patient to a nearby hospital.

The scene was handed over to Suffolk County Police 6th Squad Detectives to determine the cause of the accident. According to police, the driver was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue with serious injuries.
