February 17, 2026 — The Boston Volunteer Fire Department celebrated its Junior Firefighter program with a special outing designed to give members an opportunity to step away from training and enjoy time together outside the fire hall. Department leaders expressed pride in the dedication and growth of the young participants, noting that while the program focuses on building future firefighters, it is equally important to allow the juniors to connect, recharge, and simply enjoy being young adults.

The event provided a relaxed setting for camaraderie and team building, reinforcing the strong bonds that form within the department’s youth program. Officials emphasized that investing in junior members not only strengthens the future of the fire service but also supports personal development, responsibility, and community involvement. The department continues to recognize its Junior Firefighters as an essential part of its tradition and long-term commitment to service.
