On February 23, Baldwin County Fire Rescue crews responded to a residential structure fire on Garrett Way. Engine 17, Squad 17, and Battalion 1 responded with mutual aid from Mobile Fire-Rescue Department Engine 1, Engine 2, and Ladder 1, as well as Atrium EMS and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. All occupants safely evacuated prior to firefighters’ arrival. Crews worked to bring the fire under control and conducted a thorough search of the structure.  The cause of the fire was unknown and remained under investigation.
