Freeport Fire-EMS Assists with Structure Fire in Buffalo Township

Freeport, PA - On 19 February 2026, Freeport Fire-EMS responded into Buffalo Township to assist Station 27 with a reported structure fire.
Medic 74 and Chief 71 provided medical support to personnel operating on the fireground. Crews evaluated multiple firefighters and the homeowner, ultimately transporting one firefighter for dehydration.
Wagon 70 and Utility 70 responded with multiple members to support suppression operations, working alongside regional partners.
Units operated on scene for more than five hours, underscoring the importance of strong mutual aid, effective fireground rehabilitation, and seamless fire/EMS integration.
