The Mt. Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department recommended people to avoid outdoor burning following a Red Flag Warning issued by the US National Weather Service in Tallahassee. Officials also verified that the Florida Forest Service will not issue burn authorizations in the warning area, which includes Gadsden County. According to firefighters, dry conditions, wind, and low humidity enhance the likelihood of rapidly spreading flames. Residents were urged to adhere to all burn limits and exercise caution while engaging in any activity that could generate sparks.
