February 18, 2026 — Two firefighters from Andover Fire Rescue, both members of the Northeast Massachusetts Technical Rescue Team, participated in advanced ice rescue training during the week.
The hands-on training focused on vehicle and victim extrication from icy water conditions, reinforcing specialized techniques used during cold-weather emergencies. Scenarios included rescuing occupants from a partially submerged vehicle and coordinated victim removal from unstable ice surfaces.
