CAMBRIDGE, VT — April 11th — Strong community support was shown as the Cambridge Fire Department held its yearly Calcutta event at the Johnson Campus of Vermont State University.

A meal and fundraising activities were part of the occasion, and the money raised was used to promote departmental initiatives and buy equipment. Events like this help offset operating costs without increasing reliance on local tax financing, according to officials.

Members of the department expressed gratitude to MC Joel, the college, and the event crew for helping to plan the evening. Appreciation was also extended to attendees and sponsors who contributed to the event’s success.
