Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue Trains at Hospital MRI Facility

WOLFEBORO, NH — March 25th — The new MRI facility at Huggins Hospital was the site of a training visit by the Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue Department.


An review of MRI safety measures and emergency protocols was given by hospital staff, with an emphasis on coordination during medical crises and risks related to the magnetic environment. Response concerns for working in and around specialized medical equipment were assessed by fire-rescue personnel.


Members attended a presentation by LifeFlight of Maine on aeromedical resources, patient packaging for helicopter transport, and landing zone setup after the tour.
