Fanwood Fire Honors Members at Annual Event

FANWOOD, NJ — 21st March — At its annual supper, the Fanwood Fire Department, located at 75 North Martine Ave., Fanwood, NJ, honored member accomplishments and installed officers for 2026. Firefighter Brady DeProspero led firefighter attendance, while Chief John Piccola had the highest call attendance among cops. Firefighters Sean Manette (20 years), James Drewes (25 years), and Dave Zawodniak (45 years) received length of service awards.


Additionally, the department swore in its 2026 leadership, which included company officials, Chief John Piccola, First Assistant Chief Steve Szanto, and Second Assistant Chief Frank Dietl. This kind of annual event honors dedication, showcases years of service, and promotes leadership continuity in volunteer fire units.
