The United Hook & Ladder Company, Adams County, Pennsylvania Fire Station 33, is a 100% volunteer fire organization formed through the mergers of four volunteer fire departments. In 2009, United Hook & Ladder formed following the mergers of New Oxford Community Fire Company and Abbottstown Fire Company. In 2016, Bonneauville Volunteer Fire Company joined the organization, and in 2019, Hampton Fire Company followed suit. Presently United Hook & Ladder Company #33 provides service through four fire stations in New Oxford (Station 33-1), Abbottstown (Station 33-2), Bonneauville (Station 33-3), and Hampton (Station 33-4). They currently possess several command vehicles, four utility and traffic units, a mini-pumper, four front-line engines, one reserve engine, one heavy rescue, and one ladder truck. They answer over 600 calls for service annually, and are always looking for more volunteers.
