Marple Twp., PA- The Broomall Fire Company finished moving into its new five-bay station in September. It's located directly across the street from their old three-bay station on Malin Road. With furnishings, the final cost of this new 24,000-square-foot building is estimated to be over $8 million. The station features a sprinkler system, six bunk rooms, a training room, gear room and a fitness room. Low wattage LED lights, insulation and radiant floor heating help to make this station as 'green' as possible. At nighttime, the '53' atop the station is lit up in red.
