The Schuylkill Historical Fire Society recently dedicated their Fleet Facility in Memory of Member Joseph R. “Blackie” Kofrovich who Passed away on December 11th 2020, A Celebration of life was held for him on August 14th 2021 at the Schuylkill Fire Training Academy, He Was the Chief Engineer and Trustee of the Schuylkill Historical Fire Society, He was also the Past Chief of the Ryan Township Fire Company and was a founding member of the Ryan Township Rescue Squad and was a Schuylkill County and a Pennsylvania State Fire Instructor.
