Training was conducted at an acquired structure on Columbus Circle. Members will be operating on Columbus Circle over the next two weeks. All members of the department will be given the opportunity to practice evolutions in realistic conditions thanks to the acquired structure.

A rehabilitation area was set up to help members stay cool and hydrated.

Over the last year, a group of members embarked on an evaluation of our departments fire attack hose and nozzle complement. After hundreds of flow tests and numerous trial evaluations, the group selected a new nozzle/hose combination. The group made data driven decisions after evaluating the results from all of the testing.

The group settled on Key Combat Ready fire hose paired with an Elkhart Brass 7/8” smooth bore nozzle. The result was a low link hose line with manageable nozzle reactions. A tip of the hat to the Engine Company Consistency Workgroup for setting the department up for success. Your hard work has been proven effective over the last month.
