FIRE TRUCK IS LOCATED IN RED WING, MN. The truck you are bidding on was built by General Safety Equipment from North Branch MN. 1972 Ford L9000 custom cab with an open, rear facing jump seat. It served as the city’s front line engine until 1985. It was then reassigned as a volunteer/ paid on call engine. In 2009, it was assigned as a reserve engine. On June 2017 it was officially taken out of service The truck runs and drives good. Top speed is approximately 62 mph. No significant dents or rust to speak of. All 10.00-20 tires have near 100% tread remaining. It passed an annual DOT inspection in 2016. It was not inspected this year in anticipation of a replacement. The Waterous 1,250 GPM two stage pump is original to the truck and was last tested in 2016. The booster tank has a 500-gallon capacity.
