1987 Chevrolet C7D042 CHASSIS AND CAB, 7.0L V8. We have a 1987 Chevrolet 2,000 gallon tanker for sale. Tanker was taken out of service in March, 2019 after we purchased a newer model. The tank is stainless steel with a 10 inch quick dump located on the rear of the apparatus. There are (2) 2 1/2 inch intakes on the driver side of the apparatus. An 1,800 gallon drop tank is included with the vehicle. The tanker has a 500 gpm, front mount Darley HF500 pump. The pump is not operable at this time. The main feed from the tank to the pump had to be disconnected in February, 2019 when a new clutch was installed in the truck. The apparatus is powered by a 7.0 liter (427 cubic inch) gasoline engine with a split shift 10 speed manual transmission. The engine could use a tune up but does run and drive. The body of the vehicle is straight, the paint is good and there is no rust on the apparatus.
