1973 Western Star Pumper/Tender

Pumper/tender. It carries 4000 gallons of water. The pump is a 1250 GPM American direct off the crankshaft so it will pump and roll. We purchased the truck in 1984 (It was a log truck.). We replaced the transmission with a rebuilt Fuller RTO9513. The radiator was also redone. We had the rear ends redone as well as the Henrickson 44K suspension (all bushings). The rears are SQHD 5.29 ratio. New brakes, drums, hardware and 4 spring cans were done as well as the u joints and carrier bearing. In 1989? We had a in frame on the engine done with the uprated turbo and manifold. Cummins parts as well as the heads were used. The truck also has Ross power steering. Pump is weak at a idle.
The Truck was sent to Western States for the tank, pump and plumbing, which they completed in 6/84.

The truck has been our reserve for several years and we replaced. It was in service untill last week.

We removed our tools, hose, radio and the 4 outside wheels as they were almost new polished. The wheels on it are off the replacement with 22k on them.

It comes with 3 sections of suction hose, strainer and adapter allowing it to refill. It has a electric primer. It also comes with the deck gun fittings as seen in the pictures which allows for a solid straight stream or a combination fog. Front Tires are Goodyear 12x24.5 (wear nubs show) Rear tires are Goodyear 11x24.5 The tank is steel, and we have no leaks at this time and have not had any after last coating and repair several years ago.
