Los Pinos Fire District Deputy Chief's 2006 Ford F-150 4X4 Command Vehicle

Los Pinos Fire District (Ignacio, CO) Deputy Chief Tom Aurnhammer operates this 2006 Ford F-150 4X4 Command Vehicle. The “gig” is equipped with front and rear mounted VHF radios, and a lighting package that consists of the top mounted light bar, front installed strobes and wig-wag headlights, as well as rear mounted LED lights.

The passenger compartment is equipped with a radio console that includes light & siren controls, a GPS Unit, and a hands-free cell phone that includes wireless internet access. A slide-out tray is installed in the rear of the truck and carries command & accountability boards, EMS equipment, structural & wildland PPE, as well as fire investigation tools.
