Man gets caught 500 Feet in the air on a communications tower.

Manorville NY.- At approximately 5:00 PM on December 15, 2005 the Manorville FD was dispatched for a high angle rescue. Upon arrival the chief was presented with a person with a broken arm and on a tower 485 feet in the air .

The first Manorville apparatus was 5-16-1, Brookhaven Technical Rescue Squad was also sent out . Approximately 40 minutes later the person on the tower was rescued by the rescue crew.

By the time teams from Hagerman, Selden and Suffolk ESU arrived, the person was on the ground and being loaded in to the EMS unit for transport to BMH (Brookhaven Memorial Hospital). All units were released within an hour later.
