Bayville Fire Department battles working structure fire

BERKELEY, NJ – On May 12, 2009 at 9:20 a.m. the Bayville Fire Department responded to a working structure fire on 284 Sandlewood Drive. Arriving units were met with heavy fire and smoke coming from the second and third floor.

Using a master stream from Ladder Truck 1725 a majority of the fire was knocked down.

Mutual aid was provided by Pinewald, Manitou Park, Lanoka Harbor and a FAST team from Forked River.

The fire is currently under investigation by the Ocean County Fire Marshal's Office.
