Ramsey Mayor Christopher Botta recently swore-in the officers who will lead the Ramsey Fire Department, the Ramsey Rescue Squad and the Ramsey Ambulance Corps for 2008. The ceremony was held at the Ramsey Knights of Columbus Hall with the governing body in attendance as well as family and friends of the new appointees. Line officers for the Ramsey Fire Department are: Chief Michael Scalione, Assistant Chief James Dougherty, Deputy Chief Carl Held, Captains Randy Sterbinsky and Steve Forbes; and Lieutenants Pierre Gauthier, Robert Shoemaker, Louis Warnet, Jr., John Bergen, And Greg Hewitt. Administrative officers include: President Joseph Lehr, Vice President Kenneth Bell, Treasurer John Davis, Secretary Laura Single, Financial Secretary Garry Tonnon and Trustee Jason Klein. Line officers for the Ramsey Rescue Squad Are: Chief Jon Krehel, Deputy Chief Christopher Hoffman, Captain Richard Muser, Lieutenants Eamon Daul, Bryan Phillips and James Gatti. Administrative officers include: President Michael Adams, Vice President Cheri Rosenstein, Secretary Kelly Vriesema, Treasurer Kathryn Muser, Trustees Zachary Schleicher and Morgan Squires. Line officers for the Ramsey Ambulance Corps Are: Chief Brian Behrmann, Lieutenants Steven Ahlstedt, Michael Migliaccio and Erik Bergsten. Administrative officers include: President Mary Carol Ditaranto, Vice President William Lara, Treasurer Clayton Bridges, Recording Secretary Peggy Warnet, Corresponding Secretary Colleen Gubula and trustee Sean Matro. Fire Captain Randy Sterbinsky was presented with the Mayor’s Clock by Mayor Botta for initiating and organizing the annual “Home For The Holidays” parade and celebration for the past three years. Councilman William Jones was presented with a white helmet by the fire department, in his new assignment as chairman of the public safety committee. Mayor Botta commended all of the volunteers for the outstanding job performed daily in safeguarding Ramsey’s residents. A catered lunch followed the swearing-in ceremony and members of the three emergency services enjoyed a rare chance to mingle with each other and the mayor and council, aside from official business or when responding together on emergency calls.
