|
LEBANON, ME - The Lebanon Fire Department and Lebanon Rescue Department responded to a reported building fire on Sunday, January 17, 2010. The fire was reported at 12:22 a.m.
Lebanon Ambulance 1 and EMS 1 were the first emergency vehicles on the scene at 12:30 a.m.
Lebanon Fire Chief Skip Wood established command and Captain Stu Morrison was the EMS Command Officer. Deputy Chief Tim Wagner was the EMS resource/triage officer.
Radio reports advised the fire was contained to a room and contents. The house was a split level ranch with attached garage. Smoke was visible from the house upon arrival of crews as well as a small amount of fire from the exterior wall near the kitchen.
The fire was reported to be knocked down at 12:46 a.m. with Engine 2’s water on scene. An additional feed line was used for mop up from the tankers on scene. Additional pumpers and tankers and a ladder truck were also on scene in case they were needed.
Four towns responded to the fire, including Lebanon, Rochester, South Berwick and Berwick utilizing 14 pieces of emergency equipment. Responding to the scene was Lebanon Engine 1, Engine 2, Engine 5 (pumper-tanker), Engine 6 (pumper-tanker), Lebanon Squad 1, Lebanon Rescue 1, Lebanon EMS 1 and Lebanon EMS 2 (rehab vehicle), Rochester Engine 7 (pumper-tanker), Rochester Engine 4, Berwick Engine 2, Berwick Ladder 1, South Berwick Tank 1 and a Command Vehicle from South Berwick Fire.
The York County Sheriff's Department and Berwick Police Department were also on scene.
The mutual aid companies and Lebanon Rescue units cleared the scene around 1:48 a.m.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
All Lebanon Fire apparatus cleared the scene at 2:39.
The fire is under investigation by the Lebanon Fire Department.
The Lebanon road crew responded to the area as the road was very slippery from the water from the fire trucks.
