ALBANY, NY - The 12th annual New York State Fallen Firefighters Memorial Ceremony was held at the Empire State Plaza on October 6, 2009.
Twelve firefighters names were added to the wall this year. Five firefighters were from 2008 and seven were from previous years.
The names added this year are:
2008 Firefighter Ryan T. Barker - West Hill fire Department
2008 Past Chief Edward A. Junginger - Levittown Fire Department
2008 Firefighter David P. Meron Sr. - Hoosick Falls Fire Department
2008 Lieutenant Robert J. Ryan - New York City Fire Department
2008 Firefighter Jamel M. Sears - New York City Fire Department
2006 Firefighter Wilbur A. Ritter - Sayville Fire Department
1942 Lieutenant Frank P. Bertin - Endicott Fire Department
1936 Chief Edward J. Coiley - Moravia Fire Department
1932 1st Lieutenant Fordham O'Dell - North Bellmore Fire Department
1926 Firefighter Gomer W. Moran - Nyack Fire Department
1901 Firefighter James H. Martin - Cazenovia Fire Department
