KEARNY - During the evening of January 24, the Kearny Fire Department promoted Firefighter Micheal Hyde to the rank of Captain. Hyde, ranked #1 on the new captain's list which came out in December, and was promoted during a ceremony at the town council meeting.

Mike joins his brother Dennis who is also a Captain in the department. This is the second set of brothers who currently serve as captains with KFD. Captains Joe and Frank Viscuso are also currently serving with the department.

The members of the Kearny Fire Department want to congradulate Mike on attaining the rankCaptain and wish him much luck in his new position
