NEWBURGH, NY - Saturday evening February 18th the Dan Leghorn Engine Co held it's annual awards dinner at the Café International at the Ramada Inn in Newburgh.

In addition to swearing in of new officers awards were handed out for most calls responded to, years of service to the Department but the main focus of the evening was honoring outgoing Chief Charlie Piper.

Chief Piper has served the last 2 years as Chief, in that 2 years he has assisted in acquiring new equipment which makes the Dan Leghorn Engine Co the envy of local Dept's. Several presentations were made to Chief Piper followed by several standing ovations.
