ORANGE LAKE, NY - Shortly before midnight, Orange Lake firefighters were alerted for a possible house fire on O'Dell Circle. Chief Charles Piper arrived and reported a working fire in a large home under renovation on Nov. 24.

An immediate request went out to Winona Lake firefighters for one engine and one ladder to the scene with the Coldenham FAST team that was also requested. Several lines were put into operation and the roof opened as firefighters made a quick knockdown but numerous pockets of fire remained within the walls.

Cronomer Valley was on standby at Orange Lake. Also assisting at the scene was Deputy Fire Coordinator, OC Car-13 Reyn Randoplh and a crew from Mobile Life Support Services, as well as the town of Newburgh Fire Inspectors Office.
