Fatal Fire in Lacey Twp.

Working fire 745 Clubhouse Rd.

LACEY, NJ Just before 12 noon yesterday (11/14), Lacey Township station 60 was dispatched to 745 Clubhouse Rd. for a reported kitchen fire with an elderly women still inside.

Upon arrival of Chief Flynn there was heavy fire showing from the rear with reports of an 85 year old women unaccounted for.

Flynn quickly called for assistance from Lanoka Harbor(station 61) and Bamber Lakes (station 59).

Members of station 60 made an aggressive interior attack while 61 members opened up the roof and removed the 85 year old women in cardiac arrest.

CPR was started at the scene and once a pulse was regained she waas transported vis MONOC helecoptor to a local truama center where she later died. Assistance from Waretown, Bayville & Barnegat was also used at the scene.
