BALTIMORE, MD - To assist in broadening homeland security in the Baltimore area Odyssey created a custom Communications and Command unit based on a 22’ trailer was recently delivered to Baltimore City Fire Department. Special to this command unit was a 40 ft. telescoping antenna mast by Alumi-tower and a satellite dish to allow the department to broadcast and receive multiplexed signals for communications to surrounding area’s state, local, county and federal agencies. The roof featured a walk on platform covered in non slip material for access to the telescoping mast, satellite dish and a custom antenna raceway with sealed access port into the interior over the equipment server rack for antenna arrays.
The interior included high quality custom Odyssey cabinets, wrap around counter tops, electrical outlets, communications ports and storage compartments to keep the office and command functions organized and well equipped.
