MONTGOMERY, NY - Shortly after 4 p.m., Maybrook firefighters, Town of Montgomery Ambulance and Mobile Life Support Services were requested for a serious head on MVA on Neelytown Rd and Beaver Dam Rd. on Jan. 13.
Incident command, Maybrook Chief Charles Woznick was immediately on the scene and reported entrapment with serious injuries. He requested mutual aid from Campbell Hall for their light rescue truck and from Montgomery to establish a helicopter landing zone.
As medical personnel evaluated the scene it was apparent that the front seat passenger in the car was deceased. A male and a small child were removed and taken by ambulance to a nearby landing zone where they were flown to a local trauma center for evaluation of their injuries. Cause of the accident is under investigation by the Town of Montgomery Police.
