BARNEGAT, NJ - On January 6, 2009 at 10:03 a.m. the Barnegat Fire Department responded to a working structure fire on East Bayview Avenue.

Initial crews were met with heavy smoke and fire coming from the structure. Using an exterior attack the fire was brought under control.

Stafford Township, Waretown, Forked River and Lanoka Harbor fire departments provided mutual aid. The fire is under investigation by the Ocean County Fire Marshal's Office.
