Forked River Fire Department battles working car fire

LACEY, NJ - On January 25, 2009 around 2:45 p.m. the Forked River Fire Department was dispatched to mile marker 74.8 northbound on the Garden State Parkway on the report of a vehicle fire.

On arrival, units found the engine compartment of a Volvo sedan fully involved. The crew from Engine 6021 stretched an attack line making an aggressive attack quickly knocking down the fire.

Lacey EMS, Lacey Police and the NJ State Police also responded to the scene.
