Chester responds to a rollover

CHESTER, NH - Chester responded to a reported roll over on January 15, 2010 at about 2:00 p.m. Car 1 and two engines from Chester responded along with a Derry medic unit.

Car 1 reported he had a car on its side in a brook on E. Derry Road with one patient who had a head injury.

A 46-year-old female driver was in a late model Ford Expedition headed north when the ball joint broke in the vehicle's front end steering linkage, causing the driver to loose control and going into a brook on the right hand side of the road.

She was assisted out of the vehicle and to the side of the road by another driver. Chester Fire Department members were on scene to provide patient care and check for vehicle hazards and fluid spills, which there were none.

The patient was transported to the Parkland Medical Center, the local hospital, with a head injury.

Chester Fire Department stood by while the vehicle was removed from the brook.
