SOUTH LEBANON, ME - The Lebanon Rescue Department and York County Sheriff's Department responded to an ATV accident on the Blaisdell Corner Road in South Lebanon on Sunday afternoon, May 10, 2009. The accident occurred around 4:08 p.m.

Lebanon Rescue members Annette and Scott Thibodeau were on the Blaisdell Corner Road and witnessed a 4-wheeler traveling down the roadway rollover. The two children riding on the four wheeler were injured when the 4 wheeler lost control and then rolled over. The four wheeler ended up rolling onto the driver. The rescue members immediately called for the ambulance to respond to treat the two injured children.

The operator of the 4-wheeler was a 13-year-old female from Rochester, NH. Her passenger was a 8-year-old female from Somersworth, NH. Neither of the children were wearing a helmet.

Both children were transported by Lebanon Ambulance to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH. Both suffered what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Rescue crews were on scene until about 5:00 p.m.

Deputy Kevin Ledoux of the York County Sheriff's Department is investigating the accident.
