The Lebanon Rescue Department, York County Sheriff's Department and Lebanon Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with injury on Friday afternoon, June 19, 2009.
The accident was reported at 4:00 p.m. Friday afternoon and was located at the corner of Carl Broggi Highway and the West Lebanon Road.
When emergency crews arrived on scene, they located two vehicles involved and one injury.
"It was reported to us that a 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette was traveling west on Carl Broggi Highway when it went to stop for the red light. A 2000 Nissan X-tera traveling behind the Oldsmobile went to stop but did not stop in time and hit the Oldsmobile at a low speed. The roadway was wet due to the heavy rains throughout the day. There was very minimal damage to both vehicles. The driver of the Oldsmobile was transported by Lebanon Ambulance to Frisbie Hospital with non-life threatening injuries." Assistant Chief and Public Information Officer Jason Cole advised.
The driver of the Nissan X-Tera was not injured in the accident. She was evaluated at the scene by Lebanon Rescue. The driver of the Nissan was a 52 year old female from Berwick, Maine.
The driver of the Oldsmobile that was transported to the hospital was a 45-year-old male from Wakefield, NH.
Both operators were alone in their vehicles. Both drivers had their seatbelts on and no air bags deployed.
Both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene and had very minor damage.
The accident is under investigation by Deputy Corey Sweatt of the York County Sheriff's Department.
Rescue crews cleared the scene around 4:30 p.m.
