UPFD Lieutenant Young Meeting With Crew
BAYFIELD, CO – At approximately 1710 hours on May 28th, 2007 firefighters from the Upper Pine River Fire Protection District were dispatched to a report of a one vehicle roll over in the 39000 block of US 160. This stretch of highway has seen more than its share of traumatic incidents (see stories 090106102 and 081406122). Units arrived on scene to find a mini-van that had rolled off of the highway.
The three occupants of the vehicle were evaluated by medics and one was transported by UPFD ambulance to Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango. The vehicle was assessed for hazards and units stood-by for the removal. The accident is under investigation by the Colorado State Patrol.
