SAYVILLE, NY - On July 9, 2005, the Sayville Fire Department hosted the traditional Suffolk County parade. It was attended by over 60 fire departments in Suffolk County. They had marching bands from the Emerald Society. They also had juniors, color guards, and the Grand Marshall and antique cars. The special occasion for the Suffolk County parade was the Sayville Fire Department was celebrating their 100th Anniversary. Their fire department was formed in 1905. It was attended by parade seekers from all over Suffolk County.
