On February 4, 1899.The Argyle Hose#3 formed there own fire company. They had there 1st meeting at Trolley Line Road & Highland Place. It was then known as the old South Shore club.Even though this firehouse has gone thru renovations. It is still there firehouse to this day.
There 1st piece of fire apparatus was a 2 wheel cart, built by A.J. Weeks.
In 1905,they would purchase there 1st horse drawn fire apparatus. In

The Woolworth fire in West Babylon in 1965.The Babylon High School fire in 1967.The LaParmadora stationary fire in 1972.The lumber yard fire on Cedar Street in 1975 & 1989. They also responded to the Long Island wildfires in 1995.of course the worst of all time was our 2nd Day of Infamy September 11, 2001 where the World Trade Center was destroyed as 343 firefighters perished. This fire company brings back many memories as I was once a member of this company myself back in the 80s.This is 1 proud company who volunteer there time doing there job.
