Incident Description: Engineer-Firefighter Lawhorn was responding to a mutual aid structure fire when the fire department tanker he was driving left the roadway and came to a rest in a field. Firefighter Lawhorn, who was alone in the vehicle, was found by other emergency responders as they were returning from the fire call. Resuscitative efforts were attempted but Lawhorn was pronounced dead at the scene from a nature and cause of fatal injury still to be determined.
