Virginia medic unit crash, four injured

CHESTERFIELD,VA-Tones sounded on Oct. 25, at 8:57 am, dispatching fire and
medical personnel to Midlothian Turnpike at Tuxford Road for a motor vehicle
collison involving a medic unit.
"Medic 205 was involved in a collision with another vehicle, "Lauren Russell,
Chesterfield Fire and EMS, PIO said.
According to Russell, two medics and two civilians were transported
to a hospital with minor injuries.
It all begin when emergency crews were dispatched to a motor vehicle
collision at Midlothian Turnpike and Heaths Way roads, with one victim
ejected.
Medic 205 was transporting the patient to a local hospital when the
collision occurred. The patient was loaded onto another medic unit
and transported to a hospital.
Russell said the front of the medic unit sustained moderate damage.
"The crash is under investigation.," said Elizabeth Caroon, spokesperson
for Chesterfield County Police.
