Former East Greenville Fireman Passes Away

Mar. 21, 2024 - Richard L. "Dick" Conrad, an East Greenville Fire Co. fireman, passed away at the age of 87 on March 5th. Dick was a fireman for 35-plus years in the fire service as a firefighter, an Asst. Engineer, and Chief Engineer. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Penn State football. He was the husband of the late Shirley (Shantz) Conrad. He is survived by his two sons, Kevin and David. Both sons were also firemen in the past with East Greenville Fire Co. He was the grandfather of Adam and Daniele, and the great grandfather of four great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his family and all his friends of the fire service, and the communities of the Upper Perkiomen Valley.
