WALDEN, NY - Walden FD responded to a serious MVA involving a rollover on April 26th. The vehicle was down an embankment on its roof at Lake Osiris Road in the area of Tassielli Drive. Town of Montgomery PD, Montgomery EMS and New York State Police were at the scene. Firefighters requested Coldenham FD to the scene. The driver was trapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters secured the vehicle to the side of Coldenham's engine and had two ropes stretched to it. Orange Lake FD requested to set up a Landing Zone at K&H Corrugated parking lot. Firefighters, EMS and Police extricated the driver from the vehicle and carried the subject up the hill to EMS. They were transported to the Landing Zone where Air Two transported them to Westchester Medical Center. The Town of Montgomery PD is investigating the cause. Deputy Orange County Fire Coordinator 36-12 was also at the scene.
